Spring Roll

Vegetable spring rolls, a crispy snack made with mixed vegetable filling wrapped in a thin spring roll sheet. It is served as a starter or appetizer with any Chinese meal. This is also an awesome party snack that is sure to please the crowd.

Ingredients

8-10 spring roll sheets
2 tablespoons of Oil for the filling & Oil to deep fry 
2 teaspoons finely chopped ginger
2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic
1/2 cup finely chopped carrot
1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
1 teaspoon red chilli paste
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
2 teaspoon flour
2 tablespoons of water
Spring onion
Salt to taste


Directions


1) Heat oil in a pan and saute ginger & garlic until the raw smell of goes.

2) Add onion and fry until it golden brown.

3) Now add carrot, green pepper and cabbage.

4) Mix it well with red chili paste, soy sauce, black pepper powder and salt. (Salt is optional). Cook this until all the water evaporates.

5) Turn off the flame and add spring onions. Keep it aside and allow this to cool down completely.

6) In a bowl mix flour and water. Keep this aside.

7) Take out the spring roll sheet from the freezer 1 hour before you make the  spring rolls. Take one spring roll sheet and place the filling at one corner.

8) Roll the spring roll sheet to cover the filling.

9) Now fold two sides of the spring roll sheet.

10) Apply the flour mixture on the other corner and roll it. Roll all the spring rolls and keep it aside.

11) Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Deep fry the spring rolls until they are golden brown. Serve hot.
