Ingredients
500 gram shrimp/prawns
2 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon ginger
1/2 cup onion finely chopped
1/2 cup tomato finely chopped
Salt to taste
1/4 cup water
1 sprig curry leaves
10 kashmiri chilies
6 garlic pods
1 teaspoon black pepper corns
1 tablespoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon tamarind paste
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 cup coconut grated
1 cup coconut milk
Directions
1) Grind kashmiri chilies, garlic pods, black pepper corns, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, tamarind paste, turmeric powder, coconut grated, coconut milk to a fine paste. Keep it aside.
2) Heat oil in a pan and saute onion and ginger until it turn golden brown.
3) Add tomatoes and cook it well.
4) Add ground masala mixture and cook this for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
5) Reduce the flame and add prawns and salt. Mix well and add water if needed. Close the pan and cook for 6-7 mins.
6) Add curry leaves and turn off the flame. Close the pan again and let the curry rest for 5 mins. Serve hot with Rice.
