Ingredients:
2 apples
1 1/2 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
A pinch of nutmeg powder
1 to 2 teaspoons of sliced almonds to garnish
Directions
1) Peel the apples and cut it into cubes. Transfer this into a food processor and grind well.
2) In a pan heat ghee in medium flame. Add ground apple and mix well.
3) Cook the apple till the water in apple get evaporated (7- 8 minutes).
4) Add sugar, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder and food color (optional). Mix well.
5) Continuously stir until the liquid from sugar evaporates and halwa separates from the pan. Garnish with sliced almonds and serve hot.
