Ingredients:
500 grams chicken
2 tablespoon oil
1 big onions, grated
1 small cinnamon
2 cloves
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder / 2 cardamom pods
1 tablespoon ginger
1 tablespoon garlic
1 medium tomato grated
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1 tablespoon coriander leaves, Chopped
3 strings curry leaves
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 cup water
Salt to taste
Directions
- Heat oil in a pan (medium flame) and roast cinnamon, cloves and cardamom powder/pods.
- Add grated onion and saute till its golden brown. Now add crushed ginger and garlic. Fry for 30 seconds.
- Add grated tomato and cook it for 1 minute. Now add all the powders except garam masala and mix well.
- Add salt, chicken & water and mix well. Close the pan and cook it for 10 to 15 minutes or until the chicken is well cooked.
- Add garam masala and coriander leaves. Mix well and switch off the flame.
- Serve with chapati/rice..
