Ingredients:
1 cup poha (aval/flattened rice), white or brown
3/4 cup jaggery (palm sugar), grated
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
1/2 cup coconut, grated
2-3 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
10-15 raisins [optional]
5-10 cashew nuts [optional]
Directions:
- Heat a pan on medium flame. Dry roast poha (aval/flattened rice) for 1 minute and set aside.
- In the same pan dry roast coconut for 1 minute and set aside.
- Grind poha, coconut, jaggery and cardamom powder to a fine mixture.
- Heat ghee (clarified butter) in medium flame and fry raisins for 30 seconds.
- Switch off the flame and add ground poha mixture. Mix well.
- Make laddus with this mixture and store it in an air tight container.
