Gobi Masala- This cauliflower dish is an all time favorite that goes well with roti or rice.

Prep Time : 15 min
Cook Time: 20 min

Ingredients:


1 big cauliflower 
6 tablespoons oil 
2 medium onion, blended to a fine paste
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon garlic
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
4 big tomato, pureed
2 tablespoons green peas, cooked
1 teaspoon garam masala
2 tablespoons cilantro
Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Heat 4 tablespoons oil in a pan and add cauliflower pieces. Cook in high flame for 5-10 minutes or till the cauliflower is done and keep it aside.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons oil, add onion paste and mix well. Add ginger, garlic and fry till the onion are well done and attain golden brown color.
  3. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder and stir for 30 seconds.
  4. Add pureed tomato and cook till oil starts to separate.
  5. Add cooked cauliflower, green peas, garam masala and salt. Mix well.
  6. Finally add cilantro and simmer for 2 minutes.
Note: Make sure the onions are well cooked, else will lead to sour taste.
