Ingredients
1st marination
500 gram chicken, cubed
1 teaspoon butter
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
Salt to taste
2nd marination
1/2 cup fenugreek leaves
1 cup mint leaves
1 cup coriander leaves
1/2 cup spinach
1 1/2'' ginger
4 big or 8 small garlic cloves
4 green chilies
3 tablespoons curd/yogurt
1 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
2 teaspoons coriander powder
Salt to taste
Directions
- Soak skewers in water for 20 minutes to prevent burning of the skewers during the grilling process.
- Marinate chicken with butter, lemon juice, red chili powder and salt for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- In the meantime boil fenugreek leaves in 1 cup of water for 1 minute and strain.
- Grind boiled fenugreek leaves, mint leaves, spinach, ginger and garlic to a fine paste.
- Mix curd/yogurt, garam masala, coriander powder and salt to the ground paste.
- Marinate the chicken with this paste for about 20 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350 F.
- Thread the marinated chickens on skewers and lightly oil.
- Grill for about 15 to 18 minutes. Keep checking and flip the skewers to cook the chicken evenly. Spread oil if needed.
