Aloo Jhol is a quick recipe generally severed with paratha or poori. Its a very delicious dish which can be prepared with minimal ingredients. A perfect dish for potato lovers.

Cook Time: 15 min

Ingredients:

4 Potatoes, medium sized ,boiled,peeled and broken into small pieces
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 teaspoons ginger, finely chopped
1 teaspoon green chili, chopped
1/4 teaspoon asafetida/hing
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon mango powder/amchur
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
1 1/2 cup water

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, ginger and green chili. Stir well.
  2. Add asafetida, turmeric powder, red chili powder, potatoes and water. Mix everything well.
  3. Add salt, mango powder and garam masala.
  4. Add cilantro, reduce the heat and simmer for 5 mins.
