Mushroom Masala

Ingredients

Mushroom - 500 gms
Onion - 1 big
Tomato - 1 medium
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Green chilly - 1
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Lemon juice - 1tbsp [Optional]
Oil
Salt
Coriander leaves

to grind

Pepper - 2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Garlic - 4

Instructions

  1. Grind pepper, cumin seeds and garlic. Keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Splutter cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste, green chilly and onion. Saute well.
  4. Add tomato and cook well till its done.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Mix well.
  6. Add mushrooms and stir well.
  7. Add very little water and salt to taste . Cover the pan and cook the mushrooms for 6 to 7 minutes.
  8. Open the pan. Add ground pepper masala and mix well.
  9. Cook this for another 5 minutes and switch off the flame.
  10. Add lemon juice and mix it well.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
