Palak Paneer
Palak Paneer

Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Bayleaf - 2
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Garlic - 6
Green chilly - 1
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Yogurt - 1/4 cup
Nutmeg powder - a pinch
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Spinach - 3 Bunch
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
Sugar - 1/4 tsp
Paneer - 250 gm
Heavy Cream - 2 tbsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste


  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, bayleaf, ginger, garlic and green chilly. Stir well. Add onion and saute well. 
  2. Add chopped tomato and cook it. Switch off the flame and let it cool down.
  3. Add yogurt and mix well. Add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilly powder, turmeric powder and nutmeg powder. Switch on the flame.Add sugar and cook the masala in low flame for 1 min.
  4. Add chopped spinach and mix well. Keep stirring and cook the spinach. Switch off the flame. If the masala is dry add 2 tbsp of yogurt and mix well.
  5. Grind this masala and coriander leaves to a smooth paste.
  6. Heat a pan and pour this paste to it. Reduce the flame to low.
  7. Add cream and mix well. Grate some paneer and add it to the curry. Mix well.
  8. Cut rest of the paneer in cubes and add it to the curry and mix well.
  9. Serve hot.
