Chicken in oyster sauce
Chicken in Oyster Sauce

Prep Time : 15 min
Cook Time: 20 min

Ingredients:

for marination:

Chicken - 500 gm
Corn starch - 2 tsp
Dark soy sauce - 1 tbsp
Pepper powder - 1tsp
White vinegar - t tbsp

for the sauce :

Dark soy sauce - 2 tbsp
Oyster sauce - 1 tbsp
White vinegar - 1 tbsp
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Corn starch - 1 tsp
Water - 1 cup

for stir fry :

Ginger - 25 gm
Garlic - 20 gm
Green onion - 5 no
Dried red chilly - 7 nos

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix corn starch, dark soy sauce, pepper powder and white vinegar. Marinate the chicken with this mix for 10 min.

sauce:

  1. Mix dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, white vinegar, sugar, corn starch and water. Keep it aside.

stir fry

  1. Heat the wok on high, at least 30 seconds then pour oil in it.
  2. Add marinated chicken and cook it for 10 min and keep it aside. (stir occasionally)
  3. Add oil again in same wok and add ginger, garlic and dried red chilly. Stir well for 1 min.
  4. Pour the prepared sauce in it and wait to boil.
  5. Add cooked chicken and spring onions to the sauce and mix well.
  6. Thicken the gravy to your preferred consistency. Serve hot.
