Ingredients:
Gram dal(Fried) - 1/4 cup
Peanut - 1/4 cup
Thick poha - 1/2 cup
Hing - a pinch
Chilly powder - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Sugar - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil
for boondi:
Besan /Gram flour - 1 cup
Hing - a pinch
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
Water - as required
for Sev:
Besan /Gram flour - 1 cup
Rice flour - 1/4 cup
Hing - a pinch
Water - as required
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients for sev. Add required water and knead to a soft dough.
- Heat oil in a pan . Place the dough in an idiappam maker .Press it into hot oil in a circular motion. Fry both sides till it turns golden brown. Do this in small batches. Crush the sev with hands and keep it aside.
- Combine all the ingredients for boondi. Add water to make a smooth batter(Dosa batter consistency).Hold a small hole ladle over the pan and gently pour the batter on it and spread the batter with a spoon.Fry it till golden and crisp. Keep it aside.
- Fry peanuts, gram dal, poha and curry leaves separately . Drain and keep it aside.
- In a mixing bowl combine boondi, sev and all the fried ingredients.
- Add red chilly powder, sugar, hing and salt.Mix it well.
- Allow it to cool completely and store it in an airtight container.
