Ingredients:
For dough

All Purpose Flour - 2 cups
Sooji - 50 gms
Ghee - 100 gms

For filling

Ghee - 6 tbsp
Sesame Seeds - 50 gms
Poppy Seeds - 50 gms
Sooji [Semolina] - 100 gms
Grated Coconut - 1 Cup
Jaggery - 2 Cups
Caradmom Powder - 2 tsp
Salt To taste

Instructions


  1.  In a bowl add the all purpose flour, suji and ghee. Mix it uniformly.
  2. Now add the water and knead the dough.
  3.  Heat Ghee in a pan; roast sesame seeds, poppy seeds and sooji. Fry till golden brown.
  4. Toss grated coconut in the mixture and remove it from the heat source.
  5. Now add the jaggery, cardamom powder and salt to the mixture.
  6. Roll the dough using a rolling pin in the shape of a roti. Put the stuffing in the center of the dough and fold it in half. Using your fingers, twist the edges and shape them a bit to give a pattern.
  7. Deep fry gujiyas in oil and serve.
