Ingredients:
For Marination
Chicken - 500 gm
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Lime- 1/2
SaltFor Masala Powder
Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tspFennel Seeds - 2 tsp
Cardamom - 2
Cloves- 2
Cinnamon- 1/2 inch
Dried red chilly -3
Pepper corns - 4
Coconut - 1/4 cup
For Masala
Onion - 1 Big
Tomato - 2
Ginger-1/2 tsp
Garlic-1 tbsp
Water - 1/2 cup
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken with turmeric powder,lime and salt for 10 min.
- Roast coriander seeds, fennel seeds,cardamom, cloves,cinnamon,dried red chilly, pepper corns , cumin seeds and coconut till the coconut turns slightly brown. Grind the mixture to powder.
- Heat oil in a pan and add ginger , garlic and onion.Stir well for 1 min.
- Add chicken , tomato and mix it well.Cover the pan and cook it for 5 min.
- Open the pan . Add ground masala, curry leaves and water. Mix it well.
- Cover the pan and cook it for 10 min.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with appam/roti/rice.
