Serves: 5 Tablespoons
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons coriander seeds
1 tablespoon cumin seeds
1 tablespoon dried pomegranate seeds
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
2 teaspoons cardamom pods/ 11/2 teaspoons cardamom powder
2 teaspoons black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cloves
3 small pieces cinnamon
8 dried red chilli
Instructions
1) Dry roast all the ingredients (if you are using cardamom powder see the second step) in low flame for 2 minutes. Switch off the flame and keep aside for a while to cool.
2) Switch off the flame and add cardamom powder and keep aside for a while to cool.
3) Grind this into a powdered form. Store it in an air tight container and use 1-2 tsp while making chana masala.
