Sweet Boondi
Sweet Boondi

Gram flour (Besan) - 3 cups
Sugar - 1 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Food color [Optional] - 3 drops


  1. Make a thick batter with gram flour and water.Keep it aside for 20 min.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.Take perforated ladle and hold it over oil. 
  3. Pour the batter to the ladle and spread it out. The boondis will fall drop by drop.
  4. Fry boondis till they are little crispy. Drain them and set aside.
  5. Take water and sugar in a pan and bring it to a boil and cook till it attain a single string stage. 
  6. Add cardamom powder and stir well.
  7. Switch off the heat and add boondis in it.Mix well.
  8. Keep it aside for 2 to 3 hrs to get it non sticky and serve.
