Rava Idli

Ingredients :

Rava/Sooji - 1 cup
Curd - 1/2 cup
Baking soda - a pinch
Green chilly - 1
Ginger - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Channa dal - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 10
Hing - a pinch
Oil - 3 tsp


  1. Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan .Roast rava and transfer it to a mixing bowl.
  2. In the same pan heat 1 tsp oil and splutter mustard seeds.Add channa dal ,curry leaves and hing.Fry till the dal become golden.Add this to roasted rava. 
  3. Also add curd, green chilly, ginger, baking soda and salt in it and mix well.Add water if required.
  4. Keep aside for 20 min. Make idli with this batter and serve with chutney.
