Milk - 1 liter
Ghee (Clarified butter) - 1 tsp
Curd / Yogurt - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Cashew / Pistachio


  1. Heat ghee (Clarified butter) in a pan and add milk to it.
  2. Once the milk starts boiling, keep stirring continuously.
  3. Add sugar and let the milk simmer for sometime.
  4. When the milk reduces to half, add curd and keep stirring. Milk will start to get curdle and become thick.
  5. Keep stirring the milk until all the moisture evaporates.Remove the pan from heat and allow the mixture to cool.
  6. Grind the mixture to form fine paste . Add cardamom powder and mix well.
  7. Divide the mixture into equal parts and start making pedas . Give any shapes as your wish .
  8. Garnish it with cashew/pistachio and serve.
