Ingredients:
Chicken - 250 gms
Onion - 2 Medium
Tomato - 1 Medium
Ginger - 1/2 tsp
Garlic - 1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Fennel powder - 1/4 tsp
Fenugreek powder - 1/4 tsp
Green chilly - 3
Coriander leaves
Mint leaves
Curry leaves
Salt to taste
Oil- 1 cup
Instructions
- Cook the chicken with 1/2 tbsp chilly powder, turmeric powder , Coriander powder, Fennel powder and salt.
- Heat oil in a pan . Deep fry the onions and keep it aside.
- In the same oil add tomato, ginger, garlic, green chilly, coriander leaves,mint leaves,curry leaves and stir well.
- Add chilly powder, garam masala and turmeric powder and mix well.
- When oil starts appearing add cooked chicken with excess water and stir well. Add fried onions in it and allow it to cook for 5-10 min.
- This curry has a semi gravy consistency and chicken pieces should be coated with masala.
- Serve hot with rice/appam/roti.
